James Black founded James Black Family Law, Mediation and Arbitration in October 2016 with the sole vision of helping people. This Brisbane-based boutique firm offers family law, mediation and arbitration solutions to help resolve disputes quickly and cost-effectively while minimising stress.
We spent some time with James to learn more about what led to the decision to work alongside Arabon and how it’s allowed him to focus on what he does best.
What was it like before you were working with Arabon?
We spent a lot of time doing bookkeeping which kept us from our core work. We felt that our previous accountants weren’t helping us to realise our vision. For us, we wanted accountants to be proactive and not reactive.
Why were you looking for a new accountant?
We were frustrated with our previous accountant because there was a lack of client care which is really important to us. We wanted an accountant who knew us and had the same approach to client care as we do. We also wanted an accountant who would listen to us and our vision and help us to achieve it.
Where did you start your search?
It was easy as we were referred by a good friend who had been looked after by Arabon for twenty years.
What made Arabon stand out from other options?
On meeting them we knew they ticked all our boxes as they were proactive, professional and cared about our vision.
What convinced you to move your accounting to Arabon?
Their client-focussed approach and their monthly Accounting Plans/Packages which make business planning easy.
What has made you happiest when working with Arabon?
The fact Robbie and his team are approachable, available and willing to help – and his team get it right!
What have you been able to achieve since working with Arabon?
More productivity so we can focus on helping our clients.
What has exceeded your expectations?
Their client care and diligence.
What is the main reason you would recommend their services?
One of the main reasons we would recommend Arabon to our friends is the fact they offer a monthly Accounting Plan/Package which removes our stress as we don’t have to think about bookkeeping, BAS and other regular reporting requirements.
